For the second consecutive year, EEFIG will be present at the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), this time with the organisation of a session included in the Policy Conference of EUSEW.
The event - Financing Energy Efficiency 1st for Fit for 55 - The Role of Financial Institutions - will be Wednesday 28 September 2022 from 11:30 to 13:00 at the EUSEW 2022 Policy Conference (Teams / Charlemagne Building (Brussels).
The objective of the session will be to present and discuss new insights from three ongoing EEFIG WGs on Applying the EE 1st principle in FIs; Stimulate consumers’ demand for EE investments; and Collecting and monitoring data on EE investments and financing.
These insights will stimulate a panel discussion around:
- the opportunities and barriers for increasing the supply of financing required for closing the EE investment gap and meeting Fit for 55 goals
- ensuring market demand for and uptake of financing for EE investments
- the role of policy makers at MS and EU level in supporting this process
The session will combine high-level inspirational speeches by public and private FIs and a panel debate among EEFIG members representing three WGs.
