EEFIG organises annual plenary meetings that are open to all members and interested parties. The plenary meeting of 2022 takes place on 4-5 May 2022 in a virtual format.
With a combination of keynote speeches and high-level speakers on current issues in energy efficiency finance, the EEFIG Plenary meeting 2022 is the occasion for participants to discuss the results of the different work streams in 2021 and draw up possible pathways for EEFIG in 2022 and beyond.
The EEFIG Plenary each year assembles experts and industry representatives, and public and private financial institutions for an open dialogue. Established in 2013 by DG Energy and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), EEFIG is an open dialogue and work platform. The group has engaged more than 100 organisations throughout the EU, and more than 500 participants joined the Plenary in 2021.
Day 1 of the Plenary, on 4 May 09:00-12:30 CET, will be an open access high level event with distinguished keynote speakers on the role of EEFIG and financial institutions in the context of the Fit for 55 package and in delivering the EU climate ambitions. It will present key EEFIG results during 2021 and offer panel debates on e.g. Applying the energy efficiency first principle in sustainable finance, Stimulating Demand for Energy Efficiency Investments and Monitoring data on energy efficiency investments & financing.
Day 2 is by invitation only.
